## Getting Started with PulseTrader

Welcome to PulseTrader! This guide will walk you through your first trade, from connecting your wallet to executing a signal. The platform automatically generates trading signals using sophisticated quantitative strategies, making it easy to start trading with confidence.

Trading on PulseTrader follows a simple 6-step process:

1. **Connect Wallet** - Link your Web3 wallet to the platform
2. **Enable Trading** - Set up your agent wallet for automated execution
3. **Browse Signals** - View automatically generated trading opportunities
4. **Select Signal** - Choose a signal that matches your risk appetite
5. **Configure Trade** - Set your position size, leverage, and adjust TP/SL levels
6. **Execute** - Place your trade with one click

### 📝 **Step-by-Step Guide**

#### **Step 1: Connect Your Wallet**

1. Visit the PulseTrader platform
2. Click the **"Connect Wallet"** button in the top right corner
3. Select your preferred wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
4. Approve the connection request in your wallet
5. Switch to **Arbitrum One network** when prompted

**Requirements:**

* Web3 wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.)
* Connected to Arbitrum One network
* Funds in your HyperLiquid account for trading

#### **Step 2: Enable Trading**

Once your wallet is connected, you'll need to enable trading by setting up an agent wallet:

1. Click **"Enable Trading"** button in the header
2. Review the agent wallet information
3. **Sign the transaction** to authorize the agent wallet
4. The agent wallet will be created with trade-only permissions

**What is an Agent Wallet?**

* A dedicated wallet for executing trades on your behalf
* Has **trade-only access** (cannot withdraw funds)
* You maintain full control and can revoke access anytime
* Enables automated signal execution

**Security Note:** Your funds remain in your main wallet. The agent wallet can only execute trades, not withdraw funds.

#### **Step 3: Browse Trading Signals**

The **All Trades** tab displays automatically generated signals from our quantitative strategies:

**Understanding the Signals Table**

Each signal shows:

* **Asset**: Cryptocurrency pair (BTC-USD, ETH-USD, etc.)
* **Current Price**: Live market price
* **Strategy**: Which algorithm generated it (Q-Pulse, Q-XTrend, Z-Score)
* **Direction**: Long (bullish) or Short (bearish)
* **Style**: Trading timeframe (Short Term Momentum, Day Trading, Swing)
* **Suggested Entry**: Recommended entry price
* **Leverage**: Suggested leverage multiplier
* **Confidence**: Signal strength (High/Medium/Low)
* **Max Return**: Potential profit percentage
* **Time**: How long ago the signal was generated

**Filter Signals**

Customize your view using filters:

**By Asset:**

* Filter for specific cryptocurrencies
* Or view "All Assets"

**By Strategy:**

* **Q-Pulse**: Momentum-based for rapid price movements
* **Q-XTrend**: Trend-following for sustained moves
* **Other**: Alternative strategies

**By Style:**

* **Short Term Momentum**: Quick, short-term trades
* **Day Trading**: Intraday positions (several hours)
* **Swing**: Multi-day positions

**By Direction:**

* **Long**: Bullish positions only
* **Short**: Bearish positions only

#### **Step 4: Select a Signal**

1. **Review the signals** on the All Trades page
2. Look for signals with:
   * High confidence rating (green badge)
   * Good risk-reward ratio
   * Asset you're familiar with
   * Direction matching your market view
3. **Click the action button** (GO LONG/GO SHORT) on your chosen signal
4. The **Trading Modal** will open with detailed signal information

#### **Step 5: Configure Your Trade**

The trading modal provides comprehensive tools to review and customize your trade:

**A. Review Signal Information**

**Strategy Details:**

* **Strategy Name**: Which algorithm generated this signal
* **Win Rate**: Historical success rate of this strategy
* **Confidence**: Signal strength percentage
* **Risk-Reward Ratio**: Expected profit vs risk (e.g., 1:1.5)

**Price Levels:**

* **Suggested Entry**: Optimal entry point from the strategy
* **Current Price**: Live market price
* **Max Risk**: Maximum potential loss percentage
* **Max Return**: Maximum potential profit percentage

**B. Analyze the Chart**

* **TradingView Integration**: Professional charting with your signal plotted
* **Visual Indicators**: Entry, TP, and SL levels shown on the chart
* **Multiple Timeframes**: Switch between 15m, 1h, 4h views
* **Technical Analysis**: Full indicator suite available

**C. Configure Risk Management**

The right panel shows your risk parameters (all editable):

**Take Profit Targets:**

* **TP1**: First profit target (50% of position closes here)
* **TP2**: Second profit target (remaining 50% closes here)

**Stop Loss Levels:**

* **SL1**: First stop loss (50% of position)
* **SL2**: Second stop loss (remaining 50%)

**How to Edit:**

1. Click on any TP/SL value
2. Enter your desired price
3. The chart updates in real-time
4. Risk calculations adjust automatically

**Note:** The default values are optimized by the strategy, but you can adjust them based on your risk tolerance.

**D. Set Position Size & Leverage**

**Position Size:**

* Enter the **USD value** of your position
* Shows as "Position Value" in the control panel
* Must be within your available balance

**Leverage:**

* Use the slider or type a value (typically 1x-50x)
* Higher leverage = higher risk and reward
* Consider starting with lower leverage (3x-5x)

**Available to Trade:**

* Displays your current account balance
* Updates in real-time
* Shows exactly how much you can trade with

**Current Position (if applicable):**

* If you already have a position in this asset
* Shows size, entry price, leverage, current P\&L
* Consider closing or adjusting before opening a new one

**E. Review Trade Summary**

Before executing, review:

* **Potential Profit**: Maximum gain if both TPs hit
* **Potential Loss**: Maximum loss if both SLs hit
* **Position Value**: Total size of your trade
* **Leverage**: Your selected leverage multiplier

#### **Step 6: Execute the Trade**

1. **Double-check all parameters**:
   * Position size is correct
   * Leverage is appropriate
   * TP/SL levels are set as desired
2. **Click the execution button**:
   * "PLACE LONG ORDER" for bullish trades
   * "PLACE SHORT ORDER" for bearish trades
3. **Confirm the transaction** in your wallet if prompted
4. **Order Confirmation**:
   * Success message appears
   * Position opens on HyperLiquid
   * TP and SL orders are automatically placed
   * You'll see your position in the "My Trades" page

#### **Monitor Your Position**

Navigate to the **My Trades** tab to:

* **View Open Positions**: See all active trades with live P\&L
* **Track Performance**: Real-time profit/loss updates
* **Check Orders**: Monitor TP/SL order status
* **Close Position**: Exit early if needed

#### **Manage Risk**

* **Edit Orders**: Adjust TP/SL levels without closing position
* **Close Position**: Exit at market price anytime
* **Set Alerts**: Get notified of important price movements

#### **Analyze Performance**

Use the **P\&L Calendar** to:

* Track daily trading performance
* Review win rates and consistency
* Identify profitable patterns
* Monitor fees and funding

* Begin with smaller position sizes
* Use conservative leverage (3x-5x)
* Trade familiar assets (BTC, ETH)
