🚀 Getting Started

Q: What is PulseTrader?

A: PulseTrader is a quantitative trading platform that uses sophisticated algorithmic quant strategies to generate automated trading signals for crypto futures. We combine advanced technical analysis with gamified user experience through our XP system. Currently live on HyperLiquid.

Q: Do I need trading experience to use PulseTrader?

A: No! PulseTrader is designed for traders of all levels. Our algorithms handle the complex analysis, and we provide comprehensive educational resources. Start with the Q-XTrend strategy to learn the basics.

Q: How much money do I need to start?

A: We recommend starting with at least $100-500 for meaningful trading. However, you can begin with any amount. The platform automatically adjusts position sizes based on your account balance and risk settings.

Q: Is PulseTrader free to use?

A: PulseTrader uses an XP-based progression system instead of traditional fees. New users receive 1,000 XP to start. You earn XP through profitable trades and use it to unlock features and advance through trader levels. There are no subscription fees or hidden costs.

🔗 HyperLiquid Integration

Q: Why do I need a HyperLiquid account?

A: HyperLiquid is a leading on-chain perpetual DEX with deep liquidity, advanced order types, and competitive fees. PulseTrader integrates directly with HyperLiquid for automated trade execution while maintaining your custody of funds.

Q: Is my money safe with HyperLiquid integration?

A: Yes! PulseTrader never holds your funds. Your assets remain in your wallet, and we only use API keys for trade execution. HyperLiquid is a non-custodial exchange, meaning you maintain full control of your assets.

Q: What's the difference between my wallet address and API key?

A: Your wallet address is your public identifier on HyperLiquid. Your API key (private key) allows PulseTrader to execute trades on your behalf. Both must match for security. Your API key is encrypted and stored securely.

Q: Do I need to approve builder codes?

A: Builder codes are optional but recommended. They typically reduce your trading fees (usually to 0.1% max) and help support PulseTrader's development. You can enable or disable them at any time.

Q: What if HyperLiquid is down?

A: If HyperLiquid experiences downtime, PulseTrader will pause signal execution and notify users. We monitor HyperLiquid's status continuously and resume trading automatically when service is restored.

🎮 XP System

Q: How does the XP system work?

A: XP (Experience Points) is PulseTrader's merit-based progression system. You earn XP through successful trading activities to unlock features and advance through trader levels. Successful trades generate XP rewards, while losing trades provide no XP (but no penalty either).

Q: What happens if I run out of XP?

A: You never actually "run out" of XP in the sense of being unable to trade. The XP system is purely for progression and unlocking features. You can always execute signals and earn XP through community participation. You can also earn bonus XP through Telegram activity and educational contributions.

Q: Can I buy XP with real money?

A: No, XP can only be earned through platform activities. This ensures the system rewards skill and engagement rather than just spending power.

Q: Do I lose XP on losing trades?

A: No, you never lose XP. Losing trades simply don't generate XP rewards. The system is designed to reward learning and improvement without penalties.

Q: How long does XP last?

A: XP never expires. Your balance carries forward indefinitely, so you can take breaks without losing accumulated XP.

📊 Trading Strategies

Q: Which strategy should I start with?

A: For beginners, we recommend:

  1. Q-XTrend Strategy - Reliable trend following, excellent for learning

  2. Q-Pulse Strategy - Advanced momentum trading for experienced users

Q: Can I run multiple strategies at once?

A: Yes! Running both Q-XTrend and Q-Pulse strategies provides diversification and can improve overall performance. Monitor their correlation to avoid over-concentration.

Q: How often do strategies generate signals?

A: Signal frequency varies by strategy:

  • Q-Pulse: 5-15 signals per day (moderate to high frequency, 30m scalping)

  • Q-XTrend: 2-8 signals per day (moderate frequency, trend following)

Q: What's the difference between signal confidence levels?

A: Confidence scores (0-100) indicate the algorithm's certainty:

  • 90-100: Exceptional signals with multiple confirmations

  • 80-89: High-quality signals with strong setups

  • 70-79: Good signals with solid risk-reward ratios

  • 60-69: Moderate signals for experienced traders

  • Below 60: Filtered out automatically

Q: Why was my signal rejected?

A: Signals can be rejected for several reasons:

  • Position size exceeds risk limits

  • Too many correlated positions

  • Daily loss limit reached

  • Market conditions unsuitable (extreme volatility, low liquidity)

  • Account connectivity issues

⚙️ Platform Features

Q: What's the difference between manual and auto-execution?

A:

  • Manual Execution: You review each signal and decide whether to execute

  • Auto-Execution: Signals are executed automatically based on your criteria (minimum confidence, strategy preferences, etc.)

Q: How do I set up risk management?

A: Go to Profile → Risk Management to configure:

  • Position size (1-5% recommended)

  • Stop loss levels (2-5% typical)

  • Maximum concurrent positions

  • Daily loss limits

  • Portfolio exposure limits

Q: Can I modify or close positions manually?

A: Yes! While PulseTrader manages positions automatically, you can always:

  • Manually close positions early

  • Adjust stop loss levels

  • Modify take profit targets

  • Override automatic management

Q: How do I track my performance?

A: The Performance Analytics dashboard shows:

  • Win rate and profit factor

  • Risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ratio)

  • Strategy-specific performance

  • Historical trade analysis

  • XP earning/spending patterns

💰 Fees & Costs

A: PulseTrader doesn't charge traditional fees. Instead, we use the XP progression system where you earn XP through successful trading to unlock features and advance through trader levels. This aligns our incentives with your success.

Q: What about HyperLiquid trading fees?

A: HyperLiquid charges standard trading fees:

  • Without Builder Codes: 0.02% maker, 0.05% taker

  • With Builder Codes: Typically reduced to ~0.015% maker, 0.045% taker

  • Large Volume: Additional discounts available

Q: Are there any hidden costs?

A: No hidden costs! The only expenses are:

  • HyperLiquid trading fees (transparent and competitive)

  • Network gas fees for blockchain transactions (minimal on Arbitrum)

  • Optional builder code approval (one-time, minimal gas cost)

🛡️ Security & Safety

Q: How secure is my API key?

A: Very secure! We use:

  • AES-256-GCM encryption for all API keys

  • Separate storage of encryption keys

  • TLS 1.3 for all communications

  • Regular security audits

  • No plain text storage ever

Q: Can PulseTrader withdraw my funds?

A: No! API keys generated through HyperLiquid for trading platforms have withdrawal permissions disabled by default. We can only execute trades, not withdraw funds.

Q: What if PulseTrader gets hacked?

A: Even in the unlikely event of a breach:

  • Your funds remain in your wallet (we never hold them)

  • API keys are encrypted and useless without decryption keys

  • You can revoke API access instantly through HyperLiquid

  • We maintain comprehensive security monitoring

Q: How do I revoke PulseTrader's access?

A: You can revoke access anytime by:

  1. Visiting HyperLiquid's API management page

  2. Deleting or disabling your API key

  3. Removing credentials from PulseTrader profile

  4. This immediately stops all trading activity

📈 Performance & Results

Q: What returns can I expect?

A: Returns vary based on:

  • Strategy selection and market conditions

  • Risk management settings

  • Account size and position sizing

  • Market volatility and trends

Historical backtests show 400-600%+ annual returns, but past performance doesn't guarantee future results.

Q: Why did I lose money on a high-confidence signal?

A: Even high-confidence signals can lose because:

  • Markets are inherently unpredictable

  • Unexpected news or events occur

  • Risk management (stop losses) protect from larger losses

  • High confidence means higher probability, not certainty

Q: How do I improve my trading performance?

A: Best practices:

  1. Start with conservative risk settings

  2. Use multiple strategies for diversification

  3. Follow risk management rules consistently

  4. Learn from both winning and losing trades

  5. Participate in community discussions

  6. Gradually increase position sizes as you gain experience
